Industrial company 3M has just successfully completed their planned expansion in Asia. This move will now allow the company to have a higher production capacity for their chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) pad conditioners.
The Minnesota-based company expanded their factories in Woodlands, Singapore, and inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in YangMei, Taiwan.
“We increased our capacity in Singapore earlier this year and our Taiwan factory is ready for high-volume production,” claims Charles Gould, the global marketing development manager for 3M.
The pad conditioners of 3M is used for conventional CMP slurry processes and unique fixed abrasives. It is one of their most profitable product in the market today.
