The Philippine Football team, Azkals are now ready to face the Mongolians after having a successful training in Japan. The game is set at 1:00 PM today, March 15.
The Azkals must likewise face the sub-zero weather in Ulan Bator. If the Mongolians win by at least three goals, then the Pinoy team will be eliminated from the AFC Challenge Cup group stage. The team remains optimistic that they would win just like how they did in Bacolod against them.
During practice yesterday, many of the team were covered from head to toe and hardly looked like a football team. The weather for the match is expected to be somewhere minus 10 degrees and the Azkals must overcome this cold if they want to win against the Mongolians.
“Training is over with. It was too cold, especially when the wind blows. Otherwise, when you’re running, it’s not really a problem,” commented Phil Younghusband during an interview.
If the Philippine team wins this match, they will then have to prepare for their next matches against Myanmar, Palestine and Bangladesh from March 19 until the 25th.
