Firefox 4 has been released and for it’s first three hours, has already gotten more than a million downloads. Proof of the ever popularity of the browser.
However, not all users are immediately happy. Because some of the plugins and add-ons they use are not yet compatible with the new Firefox version, which sports a cleaner interface that many are calling – “very Google Chrome”.
This new release marked the end of more than a year of development by Mozilla. Version 4 was originally scheduled to release last November, but bugs and other delays made the company decide to make the official launch early 2011.
Mozilla’s Firefox 4 is the second major upgrade shipped by browser makers in just over a week. On March 14, Microsoft launched the final version of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9).
