Microsoft is at the South by Southwest (SXSW) this week and they just launched the latest version of their web-browser, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9).
The new version will be launched for users starting Monday, March 14th at 9:00 PM Pacific Time. And for those asking what are the new features in IE9, we give you a short list of that below.
First, a streamlined design with a less “bulky” interface that gives you a larger browsing area. Second, there’s now the ability to “pin websites” with a click of an icon. Just drag the icon to your task bar and it becomes a shortcut.
There’s also the download manager which allows users not only to pause and restart download but has a built in algorithm which determines if there’s a malware in the file you’re downloading.
There are lots of other new features and better speed. So far, what the people at SXSW are raving about is the enhanced tabs function which can split screens with color codes for comparing webpage content.
