After being in the bottom 3 for the past three weeks, American Idol contestant Stefano Langone finally got eliminated in the last results show of American Idol Season 10.
While it is a sad day for Stefano Langone fans, the 22 year old says that they shouldn’t be because he is now ready for the next stage in his music career.
In an interview, Langone shared that he didn’t really wanted to win American Idol, but only wanted to use the show as a stepping stone to more opportunities. In fact, he admitted to deliberately keep to himself his “true self” such as his piano skills.
He said, “When I came out for ‘American Idol’ I never really wanted to be the American Idol. It was getting that foot in the door in the music industry. It is hard to really show your chops on the show… One thing I really wanted to save and keep close to myself was my original music and my piano playing. That is something I want to show to the world (in the future) and I think will be very special.”
With Stefano now out of the running, the next American Idol would either be Casey Abrams, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Jacob Lusk, Haley Reinhart and Scotty McCreery. Watch American Idol Season 10 Finale on the Fox Network on May 24 and 25 to know who will be this season’s winner.
