Target Issues Baby Shoe Recall

Target just issued a voluntary recall for a line of baby shoes after it has been reported that the shoes pose a choking hazard.

This recall will affect around 51,700 pairs of Circo Aloma Infant Girls Sandals. These are white sandals with decorative plastic flowers on the toes and sides.

It was mainly distributed around Minneapolis Target stores from January until May 2011. And also on their website where they also carry shoes womens and other products. According to reports, the flowers on the shoes could detach and thus, become a choking hazard.

Target has already received eight reports from consumers of the flowers falling off and detaching from the sandals. However, there have been zero reports of injuries due to the product defect.

The shoes were originally manufactured in China and costs about $10. Target is willing to issue a full refund for everyone who bought the shoes.
