It might as well be the last episode of the season, but it’s not. However, to many fans of The Office, it was a very emotional ride as they watched the hour-long “Goodbye, Michael Scott” where Steve Carrell finally bids goodbye to the television series.
That night, NBC got a 4.1 rating with around 8.3 million viewers watching which put them on top of the night’s ratings. How these ratings will put up in the next episode and next season? We’ll have to see if The Office can continue its hold to the fans without the crazy antics of Michael Scott.
Below now are some of the best quotes from the episode:
After giving Oscar a scarecrow doll: “It looks like it was made by a two year old monkey! And he just accepted it, that I put all this effort into it! He has the lowest opinion of me of anybody!”
On Dwight’s recommendation letter: “”I define it as Dwight Schrute. He is of the highest order. Supreme.”
Michael, to a recorder: “T-shirt idea. Goodbyes stink.”
Michael at the warehouse: “Catch you guys on the flippity flip!”
Michael narrates while going inside the airport: “”The people that you work with, when you get down to it, are your very best friends. They say on your death bed you never wish you spent more time at the office, but I will. Gotta be better than a death bed. I never understood death beds. Who would buy that?”
Michael’s poignant words near the end: “Hey will you guys let me know if this ever airs?”
