TweetDeck, one of the leading social media management applications, has been acquired by Twittter. Back in February, reports came out that UberMedia, who now owns social media client, EchoFon and UberTwitter, was planning to buy TweetDeck for $30 million.
However, Twitter, in a strategic business move, bought TweetDeck for $40-50 million which ensures that they maintain dominance in the Twitterverse of social media.
TweetDeck is a Twitter Client that uses Adobe Air with multi column display that allows the user to manage a user’s Twitter Feed. It is available as a free download for desktops as well as mobile applications in iOS and Android devices.
